The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS)

There is something immensely appealing about the simple act of blowing your train's horn in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. You'll find yourself making the classic "toot-toot" sound often as you travel around the world of Hyrule, reveling in the...

The 15th game in the LOZ series. If they say so...

Challenge has always been a mixed bag in the Legend of Zelda, really depending on the skill of the player. Most acknowledge that the series’ difficulty has been steadily declining, as Spirit Tracks definitely confirms this. Enemies’ AI is simplistic,...

When was the last time you could sit down with a game, play for an hour, and feel content with your achievements enough to come back later and play for another hour? This may be true of titles designed for short bursts of playtime, but the gaming...

Nintendo DS Review: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks breaks away from the shackles of familiar Zelda elements by including new gameplay moments. Riding Hyrule's new technological wonder, the train, and using Zelda's spirit prowess to defeat enemies are some of best...

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Like a few other Zelda games before it, Spirit Tracks has a musical component to it. Not nearly as obscure an instrument as an ocarina, in Spirit Tracks you play a pan flute.

A perfectly solid representation of Zelda. The puzzles are not easy, despite the cartoon appearance of the main character, the characters are interesting, the controls work well, and the story is adequate. So what are you waiting for? Play it.

Of the two most recent Legend of Zelda titles, my favorite is not Twilight Princess on the Wii, but Phantom Hourglass on the DS. Despite its more compact adventure and less realistic Wind Waker-like visuals, I found its gameplay—buoyed by excellent...

For faithful fans though, Spirit Tracks will likely offer enough fresh tricks, while also retaining the qualities that have kept them loving the little green Gannon-besting elf for so long. Even when it's not doing anything new or innovative, there's...

Review: Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Zelda games are consistently traditional, and that's okay. Nintendo hasn't really changed much about the series since Zelda II, and that was one of the least-popular games in the franchise. Then they went back to the roots and produced Link to the...

Review: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (Nintendo DS)

This game, above all else, changes this fact for the better.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is yet another fantastic entry in what is perhaps the greatest video game series of all time. It plays like pure gold, looks and sounds better than other games on the system, and is completely satisfying in just about...

Nintendo's Zelda team is making a habit of taking curtain calls lately. Who can blame them, though? After years of developing an engine and assets for the first game on a platform, they can turn around and deliver a second entire game in a much...
