Apex Digital 600A DVD Player

I'm not a real technical person. In fact, I had to have my friend draw me a diagram of how to hook up my TV, dvd player, vcr and playstation. Having said that this review is written from the vantage point of someone who doesn't claim to be an...

Apex Digital 600A DVD Player

I bought this player over a year ago simply because of the hidden menu (which I was able to access) that allowed you to play DVD's no matter what region they were intended for. Little did I realize I would never run across a DVD from outside Region 1...

Price and the ability to play MP3's

Price can almost be directly related to quality in this DVD player's case.

Apex Digital 600A DVD Player

I was able to pick up the Apex AD-600A during a special sale at a national mass electronics marketer -- $99! The idea of a $99 DVD player seemed a bit unbelievable to me, and I usually find that the old adage of "you get what you pay for" to...

Apex Digital 600A DVD Player

I had initially bought the Apex unit over the summer after reading a good write-up in Home Theater Magazine. Like many people, I was infatuated with he idea of having a DVD player that could play Mp3 cd's and had a way to bypass the region codes found...

Apex Digital 600A DVD Player

I bought the Apex 600A at Circuit City 2 weeks ago for $99.99. No rebate, or anything, that was the cash money price for a brand new, in box, non-display unit. I took it home not expecting much out of it.

Plays any plastic shiny disc you feed it!

Remote has too much power and is hard to use.

Apex Digital 600A DVD Player

I just purchased this DVD player about a month ago for a Christmas presant for my parents, and we opened it up early, so we could watch the movies. I paid $149 for it, the same price we paid for our old Sharp VCR, and it's one of the best purchases you...
