The Philips DVDR3575H is pretty much your only choice if you want a DVD recorder with a hard drive these days, but it's not as good as it could be.

I was hesitant to get this, but am well pleased I did. Especially for those long trips to France or Wales, when the kids are getting a bit irritable from being in a car for some time, this gives us adults some respite. Can play off the mains or...

I do not know why a lot of people say that this product is no good, i nearly lost out on a great bargain because of it but its a good thing i didn't. When i received this product, i set it up and had a few setbacks that i didnt understand but philips...

For the cash, it's not a bad option for the bedroom, but it's not exactly trail-blazing

This DVD player is about as basic as it gets, but it's also about as CHEAP as it gets. I've had it for a few years now, and while it still functions 90% of the time, I've been having more and more problems: The player is very sensitive and has skipped...

I had been using Philips DVP3140 (US bought - Dec 2007) & frankly I was quite happy with it until it started showing deterioration in terms of reading disks - At times it would, other times it wont read the disks - Unsuccessful reads increased a lot &...

Outlook: Hard drive enabled DVRs like the HDRW720 are pushing the price of standalone recorders down at a steady pace. This is a good thing. At the same time, competition in the hard drive enabled DVR space is also making these units cheaper. This,...

The PET710 suffers from a lack of image and sound quality, although the car seat holder and the car charger adapter are handy for car travel.

A great DVD player which plays many other formats like MP3, VCD CDRW etc. Picture and sound quality is excellent. However VCD playback is not as good as on a PC. I especially like the bookmark feature, where the player "remembers" where you were on the...

I found this unit easy to use and space saving. The vertical position of the unit made it easy to find a place for. I have enjoyed this unit.

This player will play nearly all movies except the occasional DVD's that are burned at odd burn rates. If you have made you own DVD's the burn must be lower than 4x to work on this player. There are firmware upgrades that are supposed to resolve this...

Though a bit pricey, the DVDR985 is an attractive choice, thanks to its strong features and component-video input.

I've had the product for a long time and it still is working great. The only thing that consistently aggravates me is the time it takes to power the unit up (from sleep) and get the tray to open.

This remote was supposed to be able to operate a Phillips DVR but it did not have many of the functions needed. No record button for a start.

This dvd recorder is great until the drive tray is bad. Just search around and you'll find similar problems. Right now we have to bash the top to get the tray or open or close properly. Updated firmware will not fix this.
I have (or "had") one of these MagNOvox MRV640 DVD ruiners... I mean "recorders". And it was, unequivocally, an absolute piece of junk. The thing was horrible, even on the off-times it actually worked. The interface was difficult, the titling, the box...
The remote for this DVD player just stinks. The order of the important buttons is: [rewind] [fast-forward] [play] [pause] [unimportant] [stop] In the dark its impossible to remember which is which, and you'll end up stopping, rewinding, or something...

I have had this product for a couple of weeks now. I was told about this product from a friend. He him-self is also a big DVD user and we both feel that this was a great product with great quality imaging.

The picture quality on this is as good as any other DVD player I have seen. I have had it for a year and have watched a lot of DVDs, and there was only one DVD it had a problem reading, and it was only because that DVD (a rental) had some deep...
