I was very disappointed, because this pioneer stopped working after 3 days I installed it. In addition, i could not return it to amazon or pioneer, because I did not have its box!

Yes it won't play high-defintion discs, but when it does everything else to such a high standard, who says you'll miss Blu-ray that much?

To drive your plasma display or your video projector you need to have a top video source. The task of the DVD player is to produce fine image quality that matches the capabilities of your display device. This is also a universal player that accepts high-r

From the beginning, this DVD player hummed. I was able to reduce the noise by adjusting some settings. Two months into owning it, it stopped working. Pioneer doesn't want to take responsibility for fixing it (and it takes forever to reach a live...

If you have an HDTV, but don't want to opt for a Blu-ray Disc player such as the Panasonic DMP-BD65K (*Est. $125), the Pioneer DV-420V-K deserves a good look. It can upscale DVDs all the way up to 1080p via its HDMI output, and user reviews generally...

Worst DVD player I've ever owned. Took hours to boot, and firmware always seemed to be out of date. Display is small and very hard to read, and black on black buttons are darn near invisible in a dark room. Fortunately, I bought a Square Trade warranty...

In mid-2008, Pioneer released two new Blu-ray models, the Elite BDP-05FD and the standard Pioneer-branded BDP-51FD. The two models share many of the same features, with the $799 Elite model adding a few high-end touches to distinguish it from......

With an already established brand name in the world of flat-panel HDTV equipment, Pioneer is carrying over that high-end approach and philosophy into its latest top-shelf Blu-ray player, the BDP-05FD. Due to a declining marketplace, the BDP-05FD has...

I purchased the Pioneer DV 420V-K and it worked great for almost a year and then slowly quit playing most of my DVD's and then just crapped out. Now I've got to find a new one and am very leary of Pioneer. They used to be a strong brand name but my...

While it isn't the same as watching Blu-ray or HD DVDs in true high definition, using an upscaling DVD player such as the Pioneer DV-490V-S is the next best thing. Hook the unit up via HDMI to a display with a native resolution of 720p or 1080i and you...

Excellent DVD player for the money - Multi Region, DVD-A, SACD, MP3 and JPG all built in. Picture and sound quality are good for the money (obviously not in the same league as Denon 2900 or the upcoming 868) but a very good player all the same. It does...
