Sony BDPS2200 Blu-ray Player

Avoid, run, don't go here......product sucks. Brutally slow response time...constant freeze-ups. Garbage.....I was stupid enough to buy two...both suck.

Verbatim 4.7 GB 8x Digital Movie Recordable Disc DVD-R, 10-Disc Blister 96856

I love these DVD's.... I had seen them before and I was so glad I found them again..... The old Movie Reel look is pretty neat..... I get tired of the standard blank label.... this makes everyone smile when they see it.

Toshiba HD-XE1

While the HD-XE1 is without a doubt the best HD-DVD player on the Australian market, it's also the most expensive. Non-enthusiasts may find the HD-XE1's asking price a little high, and ultimately may be better served by a more affordable model.

This machine worked straight out of the box, giving wonderful pictures. The one problem I had was the battery in the remote control: it was totally flat! On fitting a new battery (AAA) everything was wonderful. A delight to use.

Panasonic DMR-PWT520

As a combo Blu-ray player and TV recorder, the DMR-PWT520 does a good job -- it's quick, quiet and simple. The player's VIERA Connect Web features are OK, but you'll find better Internet video streaming from competitors.

A little tricky to set up but we got it done. Our son really likes it. He got it as a Christmas present. We researched many players and this one is the best price for a non-wifi unit.
