Denon DBP-2010 review

This Blu-ray player lacks features, but delivers pristine hi-def pictures

Picture ; Sound & build quality ; DivX HD ; 7.1-channel outputs

No wi-fi or built-in memory ; Slow disc loading ; sluggish at times ; Price

There's no questioning the quality, but you can get so much more for your money from cheaper rivals

Denon DBP-2010 Blu-ray Player

The DBP-2010 is not cheap, so can Denon justify the asking price with so many Blu-ray players out there costing less?

Denon DBP-2010 review

There's no doubt that the Denon is a highly capable machine. It's just that some rivals offer better value

Solid specification ; rich colours ; stability and good detail ; weighty sound

Not the final word in terms of clarity and definition ; could show greater sonic control

The DBP-2010 produces a watchable picture and demonstrates real skill, but some rivals offer a better blend of price and performance

Denon DBP-2010 Blu-ray player review

Picture, sound and build quality are out of the top drawer and DivX HD playback is a nice addition

Slow disc loading, no built-in memory, no USB port. Cheaper players offer so much more
