Denon DVD-2500BTCI Blu-ray Player - Benchmark

The DVD-2500BTCI is one of several Blu-ray players that Denon is offering in their current lineup.? Unlike the? DVD -3800BDCI which features a Realta HQV video processing solution and internal decoding of Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio, the...

Denon’s BD2500BTCI Transport is a solid product that has very smooth operation and is likely to withstand manyyears of use due to its high build quality. When coupled with an AV processor that has additional video processing and support for the latest...

Denon DVD-2500BTCI Blu-ray Transport

Whatever you do, don't call it a DVD player. The Denon DVD-2500BTCI is a Blu-ray Transport, which is Denon's fancy pants way of telling you that you shouldn't

Impressive audio and video quality. Solid build. Eliminating analog connectors and processors reduces complexity and, theoretically, the possibility of interference. Disc playback resumes after powering off

As laggy at loading discs as most other Blu-ray players. Overly large, badly balanced remote control. Unit is relatively slow to pick up on remote control commands. A thousand bucks can buy some pretty nice speakers or go a long way toward a TV instead

Denon DVD-2500BTCI

If you're ready to dive all the way into Blu-ray, or already have, then this player definitely deserves to be on your short list. It's price is quite high when compared to players with more overall features, but the support for the Blu-ray format...

Denon DVD-2500 DVD-Video Player Reviewed

Sort of a "poor man's DVD-5000" the DVD-2500 delivers all the performance of its larger sibling, with deliciously solid lower registers and a well-balanced harmonic texture that fits easily into a variety of systems, the DVD-2500 ranks as a great value...

Denon DVD-2500BTCI Blu-ray Player

Since the arrival of Blu-ray, I've been waiting for a player from Denon, whose high-end DVD players have served as references for me for years. So far, the standalone Blu-ray players I've used have left me wanting. Pioneer and Sony are the only...

Aside from that, the audio performance was excellent. I've had some occasional audio dropouts with advanced audio soundtracks from quite a few Blu-ray players I've used, but not this one. Lossless audio playback was uninterrupted, and PCM audio (once...

Denon DVD-2500 BT

The Denon DVD-2500 BT is a Blu-ray, DVD, and CD player, on the market since summer 2008 and currently selling from around 650 GBP.

Excellent HDTV picture with 24p support ; HD audio output as a bitstream ; Video equalizer ; SD-card reader

Poor DVD de-interlacing ; No decoder for DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD ; No BD-Live

We weren't able to give this player a meaningful overall rating, since its lack of analog outputs and separate digital-audio connections meant we couldn't carry out the full evaluation. For high-end home-theater, the Denon DVD-2500 BT thrilled us with...

Awsome upscalling, a monster in size and durability.

Functionality almost flawless and thats even including Denon's attempt to lately make their remotes user friendly. No flip out plastic pannel to access buttons via the two sided gem I have with my AVR890 receiver.

Just bought a used one and have been overtaken by the 2500's ability to transfer regular DVD into something special. Hey, enjoy the longer start up times because this Denon is into giving you a quality marathon of straight forwardness

Price... A little expensive compared to other models in the same league. Would of been nice to have a ethernet input for easy downloads. Possibly a nicer backlite remote or liquid crystal display for ease of use

Great video and sound quality.

This is a great Blu-Ray player. It's my first one too. I have compared this with Panasonic, Sony, LG, and Samsung and this thing out does them. First of it's built like a tank. Im pretty sure you could drop this done a flight of stairs and it will be...

Plays Blu-rays, Upconverts DVD's. Detailed Picture and sound. Great Remote. Matches My Denon AVR

Firmware updating is a pain

Consumer review by:

Unreliable, Doesn't Consistently Play BluRay.

For a device that is supposed to be at the top of their product line, my player has been a real disappointment. I'm going to replace it; I'll not choose Denon.

When it actually does play a bluray dvd, the picture and quality are excellent

It intermittently plays and rejects good quality, sometimes new, bluray dvds. It will sometime play and then reject the same dvd. Downloading firmware updates and installing very complex. Frankly, I expected better support from Denon
