the worst appliance of any kind that I have bought.  Customer service is abyssmal.  Would definitely not recommend this machine to anybody.  I've now learnt my lesson - do not buy cheap electrical appliances !!  At least I got $80...

Very little, I guess the only positive for this machine was it's cheap price but, as they say, "you only get what you paid for"

Machine just does not function - constant freezing is a major hassle where the only way to kcik the machine back to life is by switching off at the mains. Quite often after recording programmes and then saving it to disc you will find that nothing has...

I bought this piece of garbage as I wanted an entry level DVD recorder. Next time I will do some research before buying a DIFFERENT BRAND DVD recorder. My mate has a Digitrex DVD player with no problems, so running on that information, I bought their...

Recorded picture quality is good, when running video through it, the picture is slightly pixelated although the recording is good quality. Non finalised DVD +RW discs are readable on the PC and my Viewmaster DVD player.

The lock ups! It locked up within 20 mins of me turning it on! Locked up 3 times since and I have only had this a couple of days. A slight lag between the picture and the sound (only slightly but enough to annoy). Picture of 16:9 recorded DVDs appears...

It would be by far the worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased. I would not recommend that anyone should buy this particular recorder at all. Digitrex should be charged with selling such rubbish and have to recall them all for full refund or an...

The price seemed right at the time for a new DVD Recorder so I foolishly bought it.

When it worked for a couple of days I found it very hard to pre-program (especially after the ease of pre-programing a VCR for many years), then the lock-ups started and the only way to turn it off was to unplug it. The box was so hot that I could...

Bad

Well I ended up taking it back to Big W for a full refund as I didn't even open the box. I was too put off keeping it and trying it. I ended up buying a Digicrystal SD STB with a 80gig HD on ebay instead for just over $200 (it just arrived today). I...

Oh damn. I just bought one (the GKX9000 model) today from Big W for $368 (their price is normally $598) and haven\'t opened it yet. Now I\'m thinking I should take it right back now for a refund going by what the majority think of it. I\'m not even...

What can I say , I am flabbergasted by this unit and its versatility. it has 102 uses and is currently being accessed by the commonwealth games for the shot put.

Makes an excellent door stop with a blue light. I am sure it has 101 other uses like boat anchor with a blue light. what do you expect pay peanuts get monkeys.

I suppose the bad things couldn't be any worse than the good. After sales customer service from the company is the worst I have heard

The worst consumer electronics device I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

When it works, the video quality is quite good.

See http://www.lemis.com/grog/product-reviews/digitrex.html The worst part: it only works about 70% of the time, and the user interface is unbelievably bad.
