Fantastic Four

Activision's newest movie game packs plenty of content, but not much fun.

The final level and a couple of bosses show good, team-based FF action ; Lots of extra stuff to keep you playing ; Stan Lee acting goofy in unlockable videos

Buggy, boring gameplay ; Maddening control problems ; Unplayable co-op mode ; Low-grade visuals and audio

Fantastic 4

Marvel's First Family comes to consoles in a new action title sure to have comic fans shouting, "It's clobberin' time!"

Faithful to both the comic and the film; lots of bonus content

Problematic camera angles; gameplay feels repetitive after a while

Excellent Map Maker ; Tons of play modes ; Great online support ; Good Humor ; Tons of unlockables

Can't Jump ; Horrible Clan Support ; Smaller Online Community ; Unlocking gets Tedious

A hilarious action-packed beat 'em up!

A hilarious action-packed beat 'em up!

Although this game received generally poor reviews in the mainstream Playstation 1 magazines of the time (in 1997), this is in fact a most underrated side-scrolling "beat 'em up" game. Possibly two reasons for its poor ratings are that the Fantastic...
