iView Full HD 1080P Upconversion HDMI Interface DVD Player

I bought a pink unit for a girlfriend as a Valentine's gift. It played well - perfect video and audio - for about 6 months. It then started freezing and refusing to continue in parts of some, but not all, dvds. It would play some, but not all, DVD-R's....

First the good:

I must say that the player works fine so far, though I was concerned when I read other reviews that it just quits working, but mine hasn't.

We got this because it was so cheap and it supposedly had the features we wanted.

bought this thing in January, we don't watch movies a whole lot, so it was used maybe 10 times between January and June, when it quit working. Called the company because its supposed to have a one year warranty, and some dude I could barely understand,...
