Consumer review (epinions.com)

Wish I had bought another product

It did play 95% of the DVDs I put in it.

Hard to use as a recorder and reports "disc error" on good discs.

Killer Static Shock

One click VCR to DVD recording.

Will not withstand even the slightest static shock. Difficult to operate.

Not Pleased with Product

It has both VHS & DVD -- space saver.

Have used very little and it's already falling apart.

Nightmare. Hard to use. Ate my VCR tape.

Great concept. Good brand name. Poor follow through.

Not up to JVC standards. You better be a techno wizzard.

DR-MV5S is well-featured but hard (for me) to use

Records and plays well. Good appearance and mechanical integrity.

I found the instructions to be hard to follow.
