JVC DR-MV1 DVD Recorder/VHS Combo Deck

If you want to start recording DVDs, but can't quite give up on your VHS tape collection, JVC's DR-MV1 combo deck lets you cover both bases.

Outlook This combination deck should prove to be a good bridge for those with a large VCR library who now want to step up to DVD recording.

How can this unit be priced at $1100 when it is a 2004 model? I have seen one used for $300! Please reply.

Don't touch it!!!!!!!!

One of the first combined DVD recorders and VHs machines. Its about the only nice thing I can thing of - see weaknesses below.

Broke down in three months. The VHS would record but any attempt to use the DVD recorder was met by flashing lights and an unceasing "reading disk" message on the display, that could only be stopped by turning off the machine. I know of one other...

JVC products are usually very reliable but this was a dog. Worse still the after sales service was non-existant. I will never buy JVC again.

JVC DR MV!

Excellent picture quality through to 4hr(as good as s.v.h.s) ; Brilliant RAM recording (averages 7 seconds to read or write) ; Complete absence of disc errors as seen and experienced on other machines ; Excellent editing facilities in RAM or -rw (VR...

No RGB output on scart ; No ' s' video input at rear ; Slow to write and read in -RW (VR) ; No Zoom function offered

This is the best machine by far that i have had -all the others went back mainly through disc operating errors or software problems. My worst experiences were with Phillips The lack of rgb is no problem for me as the 's' vdeo picture is equally as good...
