I wish I'd seen these reviews before I bought this lemon. I thought JVC made a quality product - not so. Soon after purchasing, it stopped recording AND playing DVD's, whether home-recorded OR store-bought. It was still under JVC warranty (parts only)....

I believe most of these other responses were submitted by people being compensated by competitors of JVC. I have used my unit almost continuously for more than a year, NEVER had ANY PROBLEMS of any kind. It is built very well and works like a champ....
