Hot and cold results with home made DVD's

A so-so unit for the DVD beginner. Just buy cheap!

Amateur movie making requires top shelf equipment and this ain't it.

Not worth it.

I paid the high price for this player because I thought this was going to be a player to have a few years.

I love the look, the zoom and all its features.

Questionable quality.

JVC XV-S65 DVD Player

I usually embrace new technologies quickly. When we first got a stereo with a CD player I vowed never to buy another tape. That took a lot of guts considering I was addicted to buying the latest singles on a weekly basis. But I've never looked back....

Progressive Scan, MP3 playback from CD-R/RW's, Great Picture and Sound

JVC XV-S65GD Great DVD Player

I received this DVD player for my Birthday and all I can say is WOW!...everything about it is Great...Picture quality is one of the best I've seen...Sound is Awesome even from a Sony Mini Home Theater with Only Pro-Logic

Awesome Picture, Awesome Sound, easy to use.

No Analog 5.1 output

Great progressive scan player for $200

This is my 3rd DVD player, and the best out of the bunch. Before I was stuck on my personal electronics favorite, Panasonic, until I decided to go out and explore some other options. The player that I owned right before this was Panasonic's DVD-RP56,...

Amazing picture, good price, and a good number of special features.

No decoding ability, not many buttons on the front panel.

Well, I finally gave in to the move to DVD this weekend, and bought a JVC single DVD player. Sure they have ones up to 300 Discs now, but since I rent most of my DVD's, I saw no reason for one that big. For under $200, I got a DVD player that's better...

The JVC XV-S65GD (gold) and XV-S60BK (black) sell for $229 at Crutchfield.com and (before 9/30) include free coupon for "The Mummy Returns DVD. The player supports CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 playback and "real progressive scan with 2:3 pulldown conversion.

Price, CD-R/W, MP3, "real" progressive scan with 2:3 pulldown, remote controls TV

Only basic buttons on front panel, no rapid forward/reverse MP3, no MP3 program
