Excellent bang for the buck

This is my first Blu-ray player, I bought it at Walmart. It was very highly rated in Consumer Reports, rated above some of the more expensive units. It creates an outstanding 1080p BR playback that simply is spectacular and it upconverts regular dvd's...

It does a great job with Blu-ray movies, picture quality up to 1080p is excellent on a good widescreen tv. True it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the top money units have but for the price its a great BR player

Its a little slow loading movies and the disc tray is a bit slow opening also. The remote control is ok and unlighted but nothing special, I tried playing home movies copied to DVD and BR discs and it was a mixed bag on playing them

Magnavox NB530MGX Blu-ray Player

This is my first Blu-ray player and so far after about 3 months usage I'm liking it alot. I was one of those people who didn't hop on the Blu-ray bandwagon early because I wanted to see who would win the HD war. Then beyond that I wanted prices on...

Cheap, good picture quality, reliable

No online connectivity, manual updates required

Good Player for the Money

I bought a Magnavox NB530MGX Blu-Ray player several months ago-around July 2009 while shopping for a replacement bedroom TV. I was waiting for Blu-Ray players to drop below $100 before taking the plunge. There it was, this player at Wal-Mart marked as...

Flawless operation-Fast load time and nice picture

Magnavox NB530MGX Blu-ray Player

May be the least expensive entry level Blu-Ray player on the market. Profile 1.1 Bonus-View capable. Seems to be identical to previous NB530MGX model. Supports playback of .JPG images via SD card interface. Would not play some Blu-Ray titles prior to...

Plays Blu-Rays with reasonable load times. Updatable via Firmware from Funai. Dimable Display. HDMI 1.3. User selectable HDMI(Multi) or LPCM output. Easy setup

User manual is pretty poor. No HDMI cable included. Need PC and CD burner to create firmware update disc

Magnavox NB530MGX Blu-ray Player

Very Cheap at Wal-Mart and worth it if you just want a blu-ray player. I don't know where else you can get it but it has very good picture and is a decent player. No Problems so far

Plays Blu Ray and DVD and has SD reader. Very Easy to use

No ethernet or way to update. Other than that there are no other cons
