The matsui DVDR100 is easy to set up. Easy to use. Slim-ine build and design very attractive.So far has been reliable. Quality of recording excellent at HQ level.

Only records and plays back on DVD+R/RW. Reording quality at SLP poor [perhaps this is to be expected]

Picture quality very bad from the first day I plugged it in. Since then the recorder has got progressively worse failiing to record or playback DVD/RWs properly or even play normal commmercial DVDs properly! Would be better off with a VCR since the...

Relatively cheap for the spec.

First machine went wrong after 3 months. Noise from drive when playing CD's Remote control reception not very sensitive.
