Pretty good for the price

Now that I have DVD playback working correctly, I love this thing.

Plays DVDs and BRD in great quality

Sort of Loud. And there is no mention on their website about the common problem of DVD playback Freezing, but telephone techs know how to fix. Tech support could be a little more open about this issue, and include a FAQ on the web site

Skips and Freezes

Like the previous poster my unit skips on standard DVDs, even ones I know to be clean and unscratched. I'm taking it back to Target. Seemed like a good deal at the time.....

Cheap. And that is about all I can say

Really Cheap. Skips and freezes on standard DVDs. Remote is poorly designed and has spotty performance

Fails to play standard DVD's without skipping

I purchased 1 unit and returned it when I discovered that standard DVD's skipped on it. I even tried a brand new out-of-the-box DVD. I returned the unit and exchanged it for another - thinking it was a bad unit. The same results occurred on the second...

The price was right - $109 at Target ; The design is clean and uncluttered

Standard DVD's constantly skip

Decent BD Player for $115.00

Not sure what people expect for $115.00 when other models can go past $200.00. I consider this player a pure entry level player and dare I say "disposable" at the price point. The Player is a little slow in loading ( which is to be expected with BD)...

1.) Easy Set Up ; 2.) Works ; 3.) Plays Blu Ray Discs

Remote leave a little to be desired

3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF!!!

Same as previous review. Contacted memorex about the playback and disc noise, tech said this is the newest player and should not be doing these things. Tech recommended turning it off for 1 hour, the turn it back on, to see if problem would go away....

No pros for this player

While playing a DVD the player makes a loud fan sound. As the other review states the remote is horrible

Buy ANYTHING else

Thought 1st poorly-working unit might be a lemon; returned for exchange, no success. Second machine functions exactly like the first: unresponsive to remote (even with fresh batteries and direct line of sight), continual skipping of several seconds...

It was cheap ($99 at Target). And it does play SOME blu ray discs

Unit very unresponsive to remote. Sometimes responds; usually doesn't. Only plays about 50% of blu ray discs correctly, otherwise has the annoying habit of skipping several seconds of the film every few minutes, throughout. Piece of Cr
