Locks up. Needs power pulled. Stops reading remote.

Is this what Memorex puts out? Maybe it has bad caps which many companies suffered from, but I thought that was a few years earlier. I'll avoid Memorex.

Worked most of the time for a few years. Has USB & SD card slots on front. Plays some movie formats and JPEGs from front. Was cheap on black Friday

Must turn off subtitles every time (and it usually chooses Spanish or French). Locks up and sometimes just does not respond to remote. Not enough buttons on unit itself to use wo/remote. Forgets position in movie when off. Won't open until ready

TERRIBLE - I will never buy a Memorex again

I do not recommend this DVD player. Total waste of money. I will go back to purchasing only SONY products. I've never had a problem with them and I've definitely gotten my money's worth before they finally gave out. Memorex customer service (which...

It plays DVDS for a couple of months

Freezes up after a few months of use. Can't turn the subtitles off permanently - have to turn them off manually on every DVD. Can't even access the menu that contains the subtitles

stopped working after 3 weeks

I was so excited to get this product, since it was very slick and cheap and HDMI, it worked perfect for three weeks, then it would say loading whenever I put a DVD and won't play saying no disc, so it has a very short life.

it was cheap and great for as long as it lasted

loud mechanical noise, and has no power off switch on the unit

What can I say besides the fact that it is pure junk?

Hmm... it's light

Freezes up. USB doesn't work. Shaky picture. Tiny remote control

100 % PURE JUNK

Bought a Memorex MVD2050-BLK DVD player from Target. Couple of months and several movies later the unit begain to malfunction and eventually died. This unit is a complete waste of time and money. As far as purchasing any electronics from Target. They...

None - listed some nice features but does not work

I paid good money for bad product

Great door-stop, bad DVD player

This is a huge disappointment. I bought it a couple months ago and of course I tossed the receipt & box out as soon as I got home. I have been troubleshooting this ever since. I've tried different cable configurations, different TVs... I've even popped...

It's light - no risk of throwing out back due to constantly flipping around

I actually had to pay for this

DO NOT BUY

NONE

DOES not work after a short "burn-in" period

Consumer review by:

do NOT buy

If it's a DVD player and it has "Memorex" on it, do NOT buy it. You will get more enjoyment from shredding your cash b/c you'll have some confetti left over--far more than the black box p-o-s sitting in your TV cabinet.

lightweight, black matches TV cabinet, actually looks like a real DVD player

you have to pay money for it

Horrible

Do not waste your money on this DVD player. I used it 3 times and now it won't work at all. JUNK!!! I can't return it to the store and I am stuck with this crap. It was a gift for Christmas and now the warranty has passed too. Look on Target's website...
