Locks up. Needs power pulled. Stops reading remote.

Is this what Memorex puts out? Maybe it has bad caps which many companies suffered from, but I thought that was a few years earlier. I'll avoid Memorex.

Worked most of the time for a few years. Has USB & SD card slots on front. Plays some movie formats and JPEGs from front. Was cheap on black Friday

Must turn off subtitles every time (and it usually chooses Spanish or French). Locks up and sometimes just does not respond to remote. Not enough buttons on unit itself to use wo/remote. Forgets position in movie when off. Won't open until ready

TERRIBLE - I will never buy a Memorex again

I do not recommend this DVD player. Total waste of money. I will go back to purchasing only SONY products. I've never had a problem with them and I've definitely gotten my money's worth before they finally gave out. Memorex customer service (which...

It plays DVDS for a couple of months

Freezes up after a few months of use. Can't turn the subtitles off permanently - have to turn them off manually on every DVD. Can't even access the menu that contains the subtitles

stopped working after 3 weeks

I was so excited to get this product, since it was very slick and cheap and HDMI, it worked perfect for three weeks, then it would say loading whenever I put a DVD and won't play saying no disc, so it has a very short life.

it was cheap and great for as long as it lasted

loud mechanical noise, and has no power off switch on the unit

Horrible

I bought this a Target and a week later it stopped working. I wasn't thinking and recycled the box so Target would not take it back. AVOID THIS DVD PLAYER.

Why Didn't I Look Here First?!

Why Didn't I Look Here First?!

I picked up this model at Target not thinking. What a waste of money. It's loud. Takes forever to load things up - when it does load things up. I am finding that it will not read half of my DVDs! The remote is so tiny it removes the convenience of...

Micro remote hard to use

Micro remote hard to use

The price it good, but the remote is micro, while watching a movie it impossbile to find a command on the micro remote, it so small a dog could swallow it, and it uses a small coin battery, enough is enough in making things smaller. Also could not...

JUNK JUNK JUNK

What can I say besides the fact that it is pure junk?

Hmm... it's light

Freezes up. USB doesn't work. Shaky picture. Tiny remote control

Dead in 6 months

Purchased this in January 2009 at Target. Was replacing a 9 year old Toshiba that stopped spinning. Here it is July of 2009 and it no longer plays. Was shocked to find that it only had a 90 day warranty. Besides having a terrible warranty, I...

CAN I PLEASE GET A QUIET DVD PLAYER???!!!

CAN I PLEASE GET A QUIET DVD PLAYER???!!!

This is the 3rd DVD player I have bought. First a Sony, then RCA and now this piece of junk. They all have the same problem. If you want to know all the other shortcomings of this item, then read the other reviews, but as for me I cannot find a DVD...

Buy something else. Please.

Buy something else. Please.

Well, I bought this player at a Target store for the same $50 that everybody else pays, and I'm a little disappointed. 480i and 480p picture is not that good when hooked up to an HDTV. Even my old Magnavox DVD Player on an even older TV looks twice as...
