Product Specifications

It's the Ultimate AV machine at anywhere near its very basic price. NAD's T535 universal disc player plays the entire universe of AV discs, including high-resolution SACD and DVD-Audio. And it will also do your CDs proud. The NAD's video performance is equally impressive, thanks to Faroudja DCDi 1080p (HDMI) scaling and a 12-bit, 216 MHz DAC for analog video output. The RS-232 interface supports integration with Creston and other whole-house controllers. he T535 includes a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) to allow direct transmission of uncompressed HD video and audio in a pure digital format. It can transmit encrypted picture data at rates up to 5 gbps; that's 5 gigabytes per second! This very high speed demands precision in every aspect of the signal path, including the connecting cable. A Faroudja DCDi circuit for standard analog 480i / 576i signals (via composite, component, or S-video connections) provides upconversion to 420p / 576p. Digital video signals via HDMI can be upconverted to 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. This built-in scaling allows you to make the most of the high-resolution capability of today's HD projectors and flat panel displays. (The TV display must be HDCP compatible to take advantage of this advanced feature.) You'll have trouble finding an AV disc that the T535 can't play back? beautifully. It excels with SACD, DVD Audio, DVD Video, CD, VCD, JPEG, MP-3, and WMA (Windows Media Audio). The DVD+R, DVD-R recordable DVD format is fully supported, too. Audio performance is fully up to NAD's high standards, and the T535 is a superb music player for standard CDs and high-resolution SACD and DVD-Audio discs. Bass management for DVD-A and SACD contribute to the superior performance. Separate two-channel and 5.1-channel analog outputs give you options for both hi-fi and home theater enjoyment.
