Terrible

Absolutely terrible! That's the last time I'll buy an Omni.

It's cheap and, as it turns out, the warranty repair place is just around the corner from my work!

I had three of them (ie. 2 replaced under warranty) in rapid succession. Each one had serious problems recording various brands of DVD+RW (that my later DSE R100A/G1598 was able to record when new without any problems). At least I got my money refunded.

Good

I am very satisfied with the unit. I have not experienced any disc write failures. The quality of the recorded video is very good. I only use Ritek DVD's for recording.

Affordable - payed only $265 on Ebay. Easy setup. Records 1hr,2hr,4hr or 6hr formats. Firewire connection for DV input. It works ! OTR really simplifies recording from TV tuner.

Can get quite hot if used in poorly ventilated area. I recommend you leave it our in the open, with nothing placed on top of it.
