Taken for a ride!

Player stopped reading discs after 3 months. Emotronics would not stand behind the product and onkyo would not honor warranty because Emotronics is not a authrorized dealer. Avoid emotronics if you like the idea of having a warranty and avoid onkyo dvd...

Disappointing DVD from Onkyo

Disappointing DVD from Onkyo

I'm a long time Onkyo fan, having purchased 4 receivers and a CD deck from Onkyo over the years. So, when I was looking for a DVD player and was offered a good deal on a Onkyo unit, I didn't hesitate to buy it, a model DV-SP301 DVD-CD-MP3 Player....

Think Twice About This One

When it works, excellent audio and video quality.

This DVD Player is not durable and will not last in your entertainment center.

Would be fine... if it worked

Good sound, video, search, and on screen display. Clean packaging and nice remote, too.

2 players in a row have been defective straight out of the box.

Pass on this model

Great sound quality.

No menu controls on unit - must use remoteBroke after 4 months of use.

Product Specifications

Think you can't get the best of both worlds? The DV-SP301 offers two of the most pleasing phrases for customers in today's market - "technologically advanced" and "an affordable price". For audio, 192kHz/24-bit D/A converters, exclusive VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) and direct digital path give you clean, precise sound. For video, progressive scan component output coupled with an ultra precise 54MHz/10-bit D/A converter means an ultra-smooth picture on compatible TV screens. The bottom line is a DVD player that will provide convenience for those new to home theater and features for those looking for breath taking performance.
