Oppo BDP-103

If you want to put a lot of effort into your home theater, you need to be prepared to spend some money. While you can get a perfectly fine, high-quality Blu-ray player like the Editors' Choice LG BP620 for a relatively low price, it won't necessarily...

Excellent performance. A plethora of high-end features. Sturdy construction

Very expensive. Many features are unnecessary for a simple home theater setup

For a hefty price, the Oppo BDP-103 offers top-notch performance along with every feature you could want in a Blu-ray player—and then some.

Oppo BDP-103 Universal 3D 4K Blu-ray Player Video Review

In fact, the front panel is almost entirely identical save for more robust-looking buttons and slight modifications to the LCD display. There are also inputs for MHL and USB on the front panel.

Oppo has hit another one out of the park. The BDP-103 may not be light years ahead of the BDP-93, but it is ready for 4K conversion and the Marvell Qdeo processing is one of the best systems on the market in our testing. The player has some other...

Oppo BDP-103 and BDP-105 Universal Blu-ray Players Preview

The Oppo BDP-103 features 2D-to-3D conversion, 4K upscaling, dual HDMI inputs, three USB ports, MHL support, and full Netflix (1080p and 5.1 audio) streaming. The BDP-105 adds a USB DAC and more.

Price is always the issue and Oppo has managed to keep the new BDP-103 at the same $499 price point as the older BDP-93. That's a pretty amazing feat considering all the video features. Given the new player has dual HDMI inputs and three USB inputs,...

Oppo BDP-103 Universal Network, 3D Blu-ray Player Reviewed

Oppo has been the default universal player for most home theater enthusiast. Now, they are looking to the future with the BDP-103 universal player, featuring UltraHD capabilities. Andrew Robinson puts it to the test.

What's left to say about the Oppo's new BDP-103 universal Blu-ray player, except that it is currently the universal disc spinner to have and the one to beat and the fact that it doesn't cost you an arm, leg and kidney is just icing on the cake. There...

Oppo BDP-103 Blu-ray 3D Player

We've come a long way since Blu-ray hit the market in 2006. Back then, players retailed for over $1,000, took more than a minute to boot up, and as long as two and a half minutes to load a disc. Thankfully, those days are behind us and the user...

Oppo BDP-103 Review

This is the very first review of an Oppo product, a company that is based out of Silicon Valley. We have been hearing only good things about it from various sources and if that doesn't raise expectations, we don't know what will.

Using the included wireless-N adapter or the Ethernet port, you can hook up to the internet and access features like VUDU HD movie streaming, CinemaNow, Pandora internet radio and a whole lot more. Unfortunately, most of these movie sites aren’t open...

Oppo BDP-103EU review

The Oppo BDP-103EU is a high performance 3D-compatible, Universal Blu-ray player for AV enthusiasts that ignores budget pricing in favour of performance

Superlative performance ; Sensational build quality ; Solid multimedia playback

No integrated Wi-Fi ; Limited internet TV services ; Somewhat pricey

While most mainstream Blu-ray decks are built down to a price, Oppoís Universal player boasts refreshingly expensive structural integrity. Clearly created with demanding cinephiles in mind, this hi-def heavyweight scales Blu-rays to a pixel-dense 4K...
