To many menus and instructions for ease of use. Cannot always fast copy onto disk as I can with my LG recorder which also has a easier menu system.

Very easy to edit recordings and transfer from HDD to DVD

Recording on timer cannot be relied on. Particularly if set ahead for early morning. The unit turns itself off overnight and doesn't turn on for the recording. I have missed two 7a.m. programmes due to this strange effect.

Easy to set up and easy to use, simple to set up timer recording. We bought it to tape tv programmes and watch DVDs so fits the bill

When updating channels all timers are removed. A bit mad. Our previous DVD recorder, a Sony, just updated channels on its own without wiping out pre set recordingd

PANASONIC INSTRUCTIONS BOOK NOT THE EASIEST TO FOLLOW FOR OPERATING.

Unlike many similar products (eg LG) one can watch a programme on the Hard Disk at the same time as recording another.

The design of TV programmes available viewer of has a large area of wasted space to the left..

Efficient on power consumption Does the job required

Prefers DVD-RW to DVD+RW, so if you want to copy from HD to DVD+RW it will only copy at normal speed. Not such a friendly user interface such as Sony

Good quality picture and sound,many useful features.

Confusing to operate, poor instruction manual. Occasionaly machine says "Operation stopped" shuts down and restarts in the middle of watching a recording.
