I purchased my L10 2 years ago when it first came out and it has been my constant companion ever since, traveling the globe, entertaining friends at parties, this is the go anywhere DVD.

Fully functional DVD that almost fits in your pocket

Jealous people who don't have them interrupting your viewing pleasure. Quiet speakers.

Audio/Video Quality

I purchased the DVD-L10 a few years ago about a month after it came out, and now after all this time I still have not switched to another newer product. The audio and video quality in all the portables from that I have seen is almost exactly the same....

Easy/Comfortable to use, Great Audio/Video

Full screen video looses quality

I want to like the DVD-L10, but...

I've had the unit for 1 year, and I like it. Almost.

Small, convenient, easy to use.

Fails on some DVDs.

Non-Mobil DVD!! Over Heats!!

This is an over-priced, hot, heavy and non-mobil DVD player. This portable player is not portable in the way a CD player is portable. The large battery and general weight makes it a bulky device. The player also gets terribly hot. If you purchase...

Product Specifications

Designed for portable viewing of DVD titles, the DVD-L10 weighs only 910 grams and measures just 160mm(h) x 160mm(w) x 43mm(d). The cinema-quality picture and sound offered by the DVD format make the L10 an ideal choice to get the best from home movie viewing. The DVD-L10 features a built-in 5.8-inch (14.5cm) LCD screen with a 16: 9 aspect ratio that shows the entire film image at high-resolution. To view standard images or letterbox formats recorded at a 4: 3 aspect ratio, the user can select Normal, Full or Zoom display modes. The 280, 000-pixel screen provides crisp detail, and TFT active matrix LCD technology ensures a bright picture with a wide viewing angle and minimal reflection. The DVD-L10 features more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution, and has a 10-bit video D/A (digital-to-analog) converter, which virtually eliminates video noise and maximizes picture quality. The DVD-L10 lets viewers enjoy movies away from home, with built-in stereo speakers that deliver high-quality stereo sound; and a nickel metal hydride battery that offers around two hours of continuous playback. The DVD player is also a space-saving addition to home theatre solutions. It can play audio and video CDs as well as DVD. A joystick makes it easy to navigate movie menus and on-screen icons - such as language selection, title, elapsed time and chapter Search. S-Video and composite video outputs allow connection to a TV for home viewing, and a full wireless remote is included. The DVD-L10 supports PAL and NTSC playback on PAL TV. The player can also be connected to an external Dolby Digital/MPEG2 decoder for 5.1 channel digital surround sound - bringing the cinema experience into the home. A 96Khz, 24-bit audio D/A converter provides outstanding sound. The DVD-L10 has a miniaturized optical deck construction, with a compact traverse mechanism and slim optical pickup. To save even more space, high-density mounting technology fits the main video and audio circuitry on a single board. To ensure reliable performance when the unit is being carried, the DVD-L10 uses an extremely precise spindle motor. For high-speed operation with high precision and low vibration, this drive employs a newly developed brushless motor featuring a strong, quiet, vibration-suppressing fluid bearing.
