Good but not

I've owned Panasonic DVD players in the past and loved them the last one I had remembered 5-discs which is why I went for this one. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to make that work. I left emails with Panasonic and called them and they...

Looks nice, plays a whole bunch of different format, inexpensive, easy to use remote control

Screen display is vague, no optical out, despite specs on Panasonic website will not remember more than one disc at a time (site says up to 5), kind of noisy on occasion

I run this with a Panasonic 37" plasma and a KEF/Yamaha surround system - price wise its the weakest link, but it doesn't disappoint, excellent performance all round. We tend to watch a lot of action movies as well as kids movies for the children -...

Panasonic DVD S29

I happened to purchase this Panasonic S29 DVD player for Rs.4000.00, believing it to be a 5.1 channel Dolby/DTS machine. But it is not 5.1 but 2.0. I contacted my dealer to replace this one with an equivalent thing with 5.1 Channel analog out...

Good value for money

I choose this player after an horrible experience with Sony NS 51P player. Originally I had Grundig GDV 130 which has lived its life (though short!).Every one at home voted for SONY and I went for NS 51P.Came home and inserted the disc only to see...

Inexpensive, plays well both PAL and NTSC discs and most importantly compatiable with old TVs.

Front panel is not very aesthetic.Little more bulky

Consumer review by:

Inexpensive but a bit lacking

The Panasonic DVD-S29 DVD Player lies roughly at the same price point as a number of cost-effective DVD players, most notably the flexible but inconsistent Philips DVP-642 and the robust Sony DVP-NS50P. While it is a pretty good value, often available ...

Inexpensive, performs basic functions reasonably well.

Grainy composite and overly soft, dark component picture, some ineffectual options, flimsy areas of construction.
