If you're looking for an inexpensive DVD player, or an extra for a rec-room or something, this is a great deal. It plays about every format that I've put into it. For reference, I bought this unit at Walmart off the shelf for $44.95 in August 2006. ...

Fantastic deal for the price, with plus-features.

A few awkward learning-curves and caveat's.

This Philips DVD Video Player, Model number DVD622, was given to us as a gift we chose from a catalog. This slim (14.2" x 2.0" x 11.3"), lightweight (almost 6 pounds), silver machine is very simple and easy to connect and comes with a remote control...

Quiet smooth running disc tray.

Has no clock feature.
