The remote for this DVD player just stinks. The order of the important buttons is: [rewind] [fast-forward] [play] [pause] [unimportant] [stop] In the dark its impossible to remember which is which, and you'll end up stopping, rewinding, or something...

DVD-R not supported ; no component video ; slightly loud load ; tray flimsy

Lack of durability-stopped playing after two years

After one year of use it only plays certain DvD movies..

Good video quality, TrueSurround SRS is the best virtual 3-D available

Lasted 1+1/2 years then failed to play 20% of titles (even if worked before.)

I purchased the Philips DVD825AT several months ago and I am very pleased with my choice. I looked at a dozen low-cost DVD players before selecting this one. What I liked about it was it comes with an S-Video output so you don't have to worry about...
