Timer could be better

After reading reviews on this player, I was convinced it was superior. Upon hooking up and using it, I am convinced it is. I would highly recommend it (if you can find it still).

I've been reading other folks' reviews about this machine for some time. i have an analog TV that's about 20 years old. The picture tube still works fine so I'm reluctant to buy a new TV. Of course, now that the country has changed over to digital...

I have no complaints. I use this machine for the QAM tuner (picking up digital channels) and to burn DVDs of family miniDV tapes. Quality is excellent. I bought it brand new from Walmart for $138.00.

Ordered product one day and it arrived the next day... Exactly as advertised (brand new, excellent condition, excellent care in shipping).

Works as advertised. Excellent tuner. Note: None of the Phillips dvr remotes work with tv remotes (not even Phillips TV). This is the biggest negative. (Phillips doesn't have an answer, ops).

The Clock/Timer in this unit is terrible. I have it set to record one program daily Monday through Friday.... but it won't consistantly maintain/return the correct time-of-day. I've exchanged/returned two units to Walmart. Believe I'll try another brand.
