This DVD player works well once it gets warmed up. Sometimes it takes awhile to start playing the disk - 2-3 minutes. I should have expected strange things from prior experience with Philips products. Will stick with ***** in future.

I bought this because it was a region free dvd player.When it came home, it did not have a box, no manual, no batteries for the remote.Also, on the back of the DVD player it says region 1. So, why did I pay more to buy this if it is a Region 1 dvd...
