Pioneer DV-434 DVD Player

Pioneer has broken new ground with their introduction of the DV-434 Progressive Scan DVD player. No, progressive scan is not new, but the MSRP $449 price is pretty impressive ($349 or less street cost). If you do not know what is so special about...

You get what you pay for

I just recently bought a Panasonic PT51HX40 DTV and and RCA DTC100 HD receiver. I was amazed at what I saw and having been an early adopter I have the first generation Sony DVP7000 DVD player. Using the S-video I got superb pictures from the Sony.

Progressive Scan for $300!

Pioneer had a great idea by bringing out a Progressive Scan DVD player in the low end price range. I know you can buy first generation DVD players for $100 or so now, but they're not Progressive Scan. I bought this machine because I wanted to get a...
