Great value, picture, and audio. An all round great value.

This player is excellent at upconverting DVD's to 1080p. The remote is easy to use and functional. Picture and audio are great. So far it has been very impressive. My only concern is longevity. (I have been disappointed in the past with other Pioneer...

Excellent Player

"I bought this player on the Black Friday sale for $99.00 to replace my 5-disc Sony 1080P dvd player and the difference in audio and video upconversion is like night and day. This player just stomps the Sony into the ground. But then what do you expect...

Awsome Audio and Video Upconversion.

Good picture but it overheats

Good picture but it overheats

I bought this about a year ago and love the picture quality. Unfortunately, this unit overheats very easily, and when it does, the audio drops in and out. We can only use this with a fan blowing directly on it.

Great value - excellent image and audio quality

Great value - excellent image and audio quality

This DVD player is a great value for the price, picture quality with up-scaling is great and works out as a good option of you're not ready to invest in blu-ray as yet. Pioneer's 'Elite' series have high quality audio components as well; I was able to...

I have been using the Pioneer DV-400V for almost a year. I liked it a lot and had no intention to switch to another DVD player. After all, it had all I needed (or so I thought). ...

"I have had this unit for approx six months. I bought it to go with my Elite VSX94TXH rec and BDP-95HD blu player. The BDP-95HD is slow to start up and relatively expensive for the kids to be using. I bought this DVD/ SACD player mainly as an...

Exellent addition to the home theatre

"This is a great DVD player. I bought this when there was a war between HD and Blu-Ray. Of course that war is now over but I am not sure if I upgrade to a blu-ray player that it will make much difference. The 1080p unconvert is a great feature and...

Fantastic Deal!

"Most upconverting dvd players have watered down video scalers that dont do a good job. This dvd player will make regular dvds look so close to HD is scary. It used to go for 300 dollars, so happy its down to 230!"

Wonderfull Upconversion
