I own three Pioneer F-727 DVD changers

Without doubt the best there is in that category. Am about to get number 4 to accommodate all my movies. There are no others that can do what they do.

Great player, excellent indexing of discs

No HDMI output (technology is too old)

Bought a second one

I loved my first one so much I purchased a second one. While the player is rather large, it takes up a small amount of space compared to 300 disc cases. We've used the front cover of all movies in a three ring binder with disc numbers attached for a...

Large storage capacity, ability to link two together for total of 600 discs

Entry of titles and artists is tedious, confusing remote

Excellent product if you have lots of DVDs

Holds 300+ discs. Can daisy chain a 2nd unit for 600 discs. Single play slot easy to access and has seperate controls. Plays DVD+/-R and +/-RW discs just fine. Also plays VCDs. Component video out

Expensive. No progressive scan. Remote is complicated (I use a universal remote anyway). Only 12 characters allowed for labeling each DVD. No .mp3 playback

Two years, zero problems, one happy customer!

Great sound, solid quality, plenty of music 'groups', keyboard connection for entry of artist and title, remembers disk info even if returned to different slot. A great value at $500, unbeatable at the $200 I got on the floor model

Only 12 characters for artist and title, hard to read slot numbers printed on carousel

3 Years Old and Still The Best!

Superior Picture and Sound Quality. Large Disk Capacity. Easy Organization of DVD's and On-Screen Title Selection. Does Not Autoplay on Startup Thank God! I also own the Sony DVP-CX875P and this Pioneer Beats it hands down for Picture Quality and Sound

Not a Progressive Scan Player and cannot "Flip" Disks Like the Sony DVP-CX875P. Cannot Use Component Video when Master and Slaved with another DVF-727

Best big changer for the money!

Sure the full title doesn't come up, but what did you buy the machine for? Certainly, not to sit and read the title! There isn't a better machine out there, for the money, that provides the ease of use this machine offers. The single play feature works...

Product Specifications

Five inch Disc Fans Rejoice! The new Pioneer 300+1 disc changer plays DVD's, CD's, CD-R's and VCD's! You can easily store your entire audio and video entertainment collection, and most importantly find the necessary disc quickly and easily. This new changer will put a TeraByte of entertainment at your fingertips! Pioneers engineers are audiophiles and videophiles. They take great pride in producing equipment that is simply the best in both sound and image reproduction. For pure audio reproduction the Burr Brown audio DAC's are the high quality listening choice. For pure video Pioneer has brought to you advanced exclusive professional level picture processing and exclusive picture quality adjustments formerly reserved for the professional world alone. The DV-F727 uses Pioneer's exclusive video quality enhancer to figure out what the original film information is and to use the film frame to process the image. Bottom line is an extremely accurate, lifelike and true to the original film picture that will blow you away! Pioneers Gamma Control allows you to customize the contrast curve just at the lowest light or darkest areas of the signal. It is handy if you want to enhance the darkest scenes of your favorite film but don't want to change the bright parts of the picture. Viterbi RF Decoding Process applies a sophisticated parametric statistical analysis to enhance correction of disc data errors caused by fingerprints, dust, and warping, thereby reducing the error rate considerably. 10-bit Video D/A Converter delivers faster video signal processing than conventional methods, minimizing digital artifacts for enhanced digital video quality. Advanced Graphical User Interface simplifies control of a versatile range of operations, allowing all commands to be set up even as a disc plays. One of the key design goals of a product that holds 300 discs is to make it easy to name discs and the Pioneer engineers clearly have achieved this goal. With the Auto Update feature the DV-F727 will check an individual disc or all of the discs in the player for CD or DVD Text. If the CD or DVD has text, it will enter the title and artist information into the menu. You can custom title your discs to find them easily. Once you've entered your titles and artist's names into the menu it is very simple to locate a disc. The DV-F727 has dual displays of disc titles, both on the TV screen and on the large dot matrix fluorescent front panel display! So when you get home and pour your favorite beverage, you simply spin the jog wheel on the front of the player or the remote to find that soothing or rocking sound that you crave. You simply must experience the sound and images of the DV-F727 to truly appreciate the entertainment that this engineering marvel can provide.
