terrible,

don't know where to start , after purchasing product broke down twice in the first six months, persevered for a while, and finally had it repaired under warranty, after a few months, it broke down again, would not finalize or recognize its own disc...

its sleek looks and slim design

it is totally unreliable, and a waste of money. even when fixed , still broke down.

Great little unit especially for non technical people easy to use. Does everything you need, Records, play dvds, rewinds live tv. Would highly recommend it. Fits in with decor being black looks good. Easy to use remote control which is a big plus not...

Its easy to use, looks great nice slim line look. Love the colour black. Love the fact that when you put it on hdd you can rewind tv great if you want to watch something on another channel and dont want to miss it. Plays all latest dvds. Easy to use...

I bought this unit in Jan 09 to record all the tennis matches in the year. I used it intensively to record 2 hours of TV shows per day (to watch them when I'm back from work) and delete them afterwards, and various TV films. I saved recordings on -R...

The common remote control with the TV. If you have a Samsung TV, you can control most of the functions from your TV with the DVD remote. Low noise of the unit. Works with DVD-RAM disks that are faster than -RW.

Some crashes (the DVD stopped at 99% when formatting a -RW disk), however there was not any problem with -R, or -R DL. Rewritable disks (-RW, -RAM) may cause problems at formatting, but I had no problem at writing/reading those.

Terrible

When i bought this dvd player i thought it sounded like a great unit. The specs were good and it was the best in the shop. However, when i got it home and plugged it in it didn't work. I took it and got it fixed under warranty. I got it home again and...

Looks good, good gap filler for your entertainment unit, could make a good paper weight

Terrible

overall a heap of junk.. mine being just 2 weeks out of warranty has started with these problems in the last 3 weeks. stay clear of them and i will never buy another samsung product again.

worked for a while

HDMI rarely works properly as it always jumps to a grey screen, it no longer records nor recognizes a blank disc in the drive, it is constantly freezing while watching movies.

Terrible

It is difficult to operate and when it does work the way it's supposed to the quality is lousy. There must be products that Samsung make well but this is very definitely not one of them.

I had a Panasonic (Non HDD)DVD recorder before and only bought a Samsung as the salesperson said they were one of the most reliabe brands. It isn't.

The heap of junk has been back to be fixed three times since purchase. The recorded picture skips fairly often and the scheduled program list "disappears" regularly. I used to think that software updates were only for Computers, but this thing gets...
