Great product.

 

People who complain about the disks not working on other dvd players just simply didn't read the manual about finalizing the disk.

Set this puppy up in ten minutes and was recording about 15 minutes after that.Have now recorded about 60 hours of shows from the tv

No big deal but you need to know it only works with dvd-r/rw disks

Great quality, has flaws

 

It's a really great recorder to use as a VCR, and looks really cool and easy to use... just have to remember to keep track of it's time clock, if yours does the same thing as mine. Also, you CAN play your disks in other players after you finalize, but...

It has annoyed me very much that 1/4 of my brand new Sony DVD-RWs were rejected by the player for initialization because of errors, and I highly doubt it's the disks. Also, just as annoying is the fact it can not keep time. I don't know if anyone else...

Cheap and works great

 

The recorded DVDs DOES work on other DVD players!! All you have to do in finalize it. I flipped through the menu and it seems that they only instruct the user to finalize for DVD-RW's. If you record a lot of shows and don't want them to be mixed up on...

Very cheap compared to other non-vcr recording options ; The recorded quality is excellent ; Has optical SPDIF out ; If you want a VCR but recorded in DVD's instead, this is perfect for you

When you first turn on the machine, it takes 30 seconds to analyze the disc, which seems a bit slow ; Needs to manually set time - no on screen TV guide. What can you expect? I got this for 100 bucks

Sad but true

 

QC/Testing of Recertified equipment apparently non-exsistant. If had been tested properly, this defect would have been found. Not Infant Mortality since supposedly Recertified. Newegg RMA instant, their service as always is GREAT! Shipped back today,...

Nice low profile, rf and av cable, manuals and remote included in my package. Easy setup

Left audio channel DOA, right audio got very distorted after 4 min of operation. Didn't waste a DVD-R to see if it would record. NOT a shipping issue

Love it.

This thing worked on the first try. Straight forward. Zooming through commercials is long over due. Looks sleek and sexy

The other review on this product is wrong. That customer didn't finalize the dvd. Once it's finalized it works great. It worked on a different sony player and my computer

Compatibility, ease of use, owners manual, quick start recording.

Editing and labeling titles and discs is difficult. Buttons on remote too close together.
