Converting VHS tapes to DVD works well.

"Anynet" function with Samsung LCD is useless. DVD player will not (but should) play MP3 disks or original Audio CD's. I changed DVD player to multi-region for all my Region 1 DVDs. It now plays them, but in B/W and video quality of Region 1 disks...

I am very disappointed and will never recommend Samsung to anybody. I would recommend buying Panasonic or LG over Samsung any day.

The price in the beginning, but now it looks like I just wasted my hard earned money.

Since purchasing the Samsung DVD-VR355 just over 12 months ago I have had the unit in twice under warranty to have the recording problem rectified on the DVD side. Since getting it back the last time and it is now out of warranty the problem still...
