Excellent image quality on Blu-ray Discs ; Profile 2.0 compliant ; onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, plus bit-stream output ; 7.1 analog-audio outputs ; 1GB USB drive included in box

PlayStation 3 may still offer a better value for some buyers ; competing players offer more features or lower prices

The Sony BDP-S550 offers excellent image quality and a solid feature set, but only consider it if you need the multichannel analog outputs.

"Awesome picture quality! Beats out Samsung!nice product"

By mattliptak (cnet.com)

Compact very nice top of the line blu ray tha...

Awesome picture and easy to use and set up! Traded in my Samsung first generation BDP 1000 for this very sleek small player that looks like a PS3 menu and I added a wireless N adaptor to it to make the BD live work and updates etc. Top of the line!

Sound quality is not what its all cracked up to be, but still good. Why they didnt add WIFI to this internally is beyond me since PS3 has it. Thats my only complaint
