Sony BDP-S770

The entertainment industry is seeing a 3D revolution. 3D products are coming to the market at warp speed and plunging prices. Of all the manufacturers, Sony is the only one involved in every aspect of the product chain, from 3D movies to HDTVs and 3D...

We especially appreciate how this Blu-ray disc player feels like a computer. With two USB ports, data can be transferred easily from your home computer, camera and even MP3 players to the built-in memory section. The only thing the Sony BDP-S770 is...

Sony BDP-S770 review

There's really not much between this and its sibling '570 player, but if we had the extra £50, we'd probably choose this for its usability and perks

Brilliant picture and sound quality ; strong online streaming and network features ; quick loading

No multichannel analogue outs or second HDMI ; the cheaper BDP-S570 is the better-value option

Yet another formidably talented Sony Blu-ray player: a quality deck in every sense, and highly desirable with it

A very solid performer

I really have been enjoying this blu-ray player. The picture and sound are great. I love the "lighted" remote. It immediately opens when I hit the eject button, which was not the case with previous models. All around excellent performer.

great video/audio, quick response time, the remote

Love the S770

This Blu-Ray player took all of 2 minutes to set up and connect to my home Wi-Fi. I watched Netflix movies all weekend and also did a network update and everything worked seemlessly.

Why no multi-channel audio outputs?

For those of us who don't want to spend hundreds more to get the latest AV receiver with Dolby Digital HD-Master etc. decoding, this is a real disappointment. The beauty of Blu-Ray is not only the HD picture but also superior audio with lower noise and...

Beautiful design and (probably) picture quality

Lacks multi-channel (5.1/7.1/7.2) analog audio outputs
