Sony DVP-FX980

I ordered this online based on the photo and was excited until it came and saw that the FX980 *DOES NOT* have the swivel head as shown on the photo and is exactly the same control set up as the cheaper FX780. Poor customer service too because to return...

We've owned a few portable DVD players and so far this is the best we've had. The picture is great and the volume is the loudest I've ever heard on a portable player. We drive across country a couple of times a year and sometimes I let my child watch...

Although I bought this product 2 years ago, I've only used it occasionally. Thus, I didn't expect it to give up the ghost so quickly and so abruptly, It looks nice enough, and the design is reasonably intuitive, but I have no sense they're built to last.

This is NOT a swivel screen DVD. The picture on item is not what you get! the 980 is bulky and does not swivel. The picture is of the 930 (which I owned before and loved!) Sony needs to change the picture!

Love the build quality,function,s picture quality finish on outside cover and sound is short a great all rounder and at the price a bargain.

Excellent player for traveling with,good quality picture,good value for money,needed something bigger to watch my films while traveling away,battery life long enough to watch full film without recharging.

This Sony seven inch screen DVD player doesn't come with a remote, so every control required is a button on the player. My teenage daughter prefers this method of operation as our old portable player couldn't operate properly when the remote battery...
