Sony DVP-NS315 DVD Player Reviewed

Good price, bad for MP3's

No complaints ...

Got this baby on a sweet deal ($59.95 new) and we are using it as a second unit in our bedroom. Takes every format imaginable (including MPG, VCD, DVD-R, and DVD-RW). Our first unit is a Toshiba SD2200 2-disc unit and it has served us well.

Simple to use and set up. Great sound and picture.

No zoom.

Not quite what I expected

The picture is grainy, probably the digital-analog decoder and I tried all possible settings to try to attenuate these artifacts, I couldn't.

Price, features

Video quality, (not so great) ease of use.

New to DVD? This IS the Player to buy!!!

I searched for 2-3 months for my first DVD player. I didn't know much of anything about the various manufacturers, models or features. I wanted to learn as much as possible before making my investment. I was stuck between the Toshiba 2800 and the JVC...

Easy to use, simple remote, plenty of features for the average user.

None so far. This player will last me for years, I think.
