I purchased this DVD player almoast a year ago and it's still working great! I love the design and the remote is easy to use. i've probably viewed at least 50 movies on it and it's still going strong! I have some words of advice for anyone concidering...

Works fine. I was pleased to find out that it will play in random order MP3 music files. One catch is that the remote has no number buttons. Therefore you cannot program it to control non-Sony TV's. Thus the volume button on the remote is useless...

I too had problems with sony dvd and cd players failing just after the warranty expires. Mine wouldn't spin up the disk. this is the second sony product I have had that had drive problems. STAY AWAY!
