Super picture, upscaling picture is great. sleek, low foot print, nice looking

Great product!

 

Sleek design, barely noticeable. Upscaling quality is visually better than my PS3. I bought this before my PS3 and will continue to use it to play my regular DVDs

Good Upscaling Player

 

Low cost and pretty high build quality. Upscaling of regular SD DVD looks good on my projector at 96" screen so the upscaling must be pretty good. If I was using a smaller screen like an LCD, I don't know if I would bother with Blu-Ray. Remembers where...

I never knew my movies could look so good!

 

I recmmend this product and would buy it again.

First, the price and the fast shipping was great. I am extrememly pleased with the picture and I am finally getting the most, I think, out of my HDTD. The difference is astonishing, really. Colours, sound, everything so much cleaner

Not a bad buy at all if you are looking for a way to not have to replace your entire DVD library for BluRay just yet. Waiting for prices to drop on that bit of overpriced technology still. ;)

Bought this guy and paired it with the 37" Sceptre TV here on Newegg. Awesome combination! The upconverting really makes a good quality DVD look really good! I don't notice much a difference on older DVDs I have played, but anything that is relatively...

Very good performance marred by poor controls

 

The hardest part of giving up my old CD player for this is the lack of usability. The machine itself has just four buttons on it -- power, open/close, play and stop. That's it. Everything else is on the remote, or more likely buried in some menu...

Very good playback of DVDs and CDs; small and sleek; inexpensive; almost instantaneous skipping among DVD chapters or CD tracks; plays just about every disk you can throw at it; good connectivity

Lack of adequate controls, particularly for CD playback; long wait when disk is first inserted; supposedly "universal" remote control only works with a small number of TV brands; dim display can be hard to read
