got it to replace a built-in dvr on an hd tv upstairs-tested it with our smart tv downstairs-but will keep it there and get another one for the ''dumber'' tv-really like this player, and at the price we paid, thanks, Jim H.

The remote does not respond to commands other then On-Off and Eject It is very difficult to re-start a movie from the start after it has once played.

I actually like this product. Of course I really only use it for a CD player, but my remote just stopped working and just got it a month ago. Can anyone suggest anything?

The other reviewer obviously did not realize this is NOT a HD player and the person should have bought a better player. I actually bought it for a CD player but it works just as well as a standard definition DVD player. It does provide setup options...

Majority of new television sets have 1080p. However, this DVD/CD player only has a capability of 480p which leaves you with a green tint when you try to play a DVD! Know where on the box does it state that it has 480p. In order to find this information...
