Sony DVP-SR500H

Sony DVP-SR500H is a solid option for your upconverting DVD player needs. The compact size, HDMI connectivity and great performance specs really make it stand out. We recommend it as one of the best standard DVD players around for the sleek design,...

Less than an inch and a half thick, this DVD player is one of the sleekest options on the market

It doesn't have a USB port or SD card slot

With its compact design, excellent manufacturer support and high performance, this upconverting DVD player is one of the best around.

gets the job done, with quirks

This player works great, but the menus are confusing and difficult to navigate. The remote is bulky and the button layout not intuitive. And the disc door only stays open for a few seconds before automatically closing (whether you have finished putting...

Good value

PRO: Compact, economical, works well, nice remote operates TV as well. CON: No batteries for remote, no instructions for basic use, will not allow any operations during commercial content on DVD.

Great Player

Just got a new Toshiba 40" LCD and thought I'd give this unit a try. It has a great picture with the HDMI cable I had and remote works well. I hear blue ray is best but don't see how I could get a better picture than I get with this combo. No problems...

Great DVD player for the money!

This DVD player is great! Don't let the term "refurbished" scare you away! We are very pleased with this unit, it plays great, the picture is crisp, and it is easy to navigate. I am very happy with this purchase!

JUNK

Do not buy this piece of junk. Mine quit halfway through the first movie and would not open to remove the rental DVD. Package did not come with full hookup instructions. No batteries included for remote. I will never take a chance on a refurbished...
