Say goodbye to VCR's

DVD recorders are the thing to get! I wanted to update from using my VCR since the only thing I use it for like most people these days is to record television shows. If you ever rent or buy a movie, you’ll want it on a DVD so it will last ...

Easy to use and many options.

No internal hard drive.

DVD Discs & Sony Sevice

Good quality when it works

Won't use many discs but doesn't tell you until its too late. Poor customer support.

Sony quality DVR

My old Sharp VCR was making enough noise to wake the dead so I decided to buy a DVD Recorder. Got the Sony RDR-GX300 because I have a Sony TV that I really like and a Sony universal remote that runs all the components in my system. Did not want to take...

The component cable connection and Progressive mode equals a great picture.

No Zoom TV feature and no HDMI connection.

Sony seems to have seen better days (C-1300 problems)

Good feature set, fair ease of use.

Terrible firmware design, terrible product reliability.

What I think about the RDR-GX300 Machine

This is it! The best DVD Recorder on the market. It's well made, easy to operate, and it's reliable. The finalized disks, the minus R's will even work on my old RCA DVD player I bought back in 1999, a temperamental unit that won't play the CD-R's ...

Records in both plus and minus formats. Finalizing andrecord stop functions fairly quick.

Lacks a built in RF Modulator. More expensive than most.Takes longer to load disk.

Sony - beware the dirty disk

I previously entered a review regarding the Sony GX300 vs my Philips 985 of three years acquaintance. I had just received the Sony and recorded a half dozen disks. I like everything about it's look and feel, ease of use etc. It will impress most people...

multi format, easy interface

no FireWire, appears to be trashing disks

I love my Sony RDR-GX300

I just bought this Sony RDR-GX300 DVD Recorder / Player for Christmas and that made my Holiday well worth it. This recorder is easy to hook up for an intermediate user and easy to setup. Just follow the quick guide and you're up and running in no time....

High Sony quality, tons of nice features

Menus are not very creative, no ILink port
