Sony missing the boat again.

 

Portability, Display Screen

Lots of basic features missing. No commercial disc playback, No playback from any discs other than what's burned from this unit. No audio monitoring while recording. No video or audio pass-through to external components while recording

Sony DV Direct is a great product to make DVD's , It exactly does what it says, the only disadvantage even after spending so much money was that I cannot play regular DVD's in this player, that would have been a big asset
