This recorder has done a fantastic job and performed far beyond my expectations. In about two weeks I've transferred nearly 100 cassettes to DVDr and had no problems at all. Very barebones and efficient. No complications with media to date.

This is advertised as having pass-through rear input jacks. Not true. The S-video does not pass signal through even though it has both in and out S-video jacks. I wasted an hour trying to figure out the problem plus shipping costs plus time waiting...

I am very satisfied with this product. I gave it to my fiancee for Christmas and he just loves it. He's been making dvd's ever since. We can even make a dvd from the television. I would recommend this product. Definitely worth the money.

I actually purchased this item elsewhere, but I was and am amazed at the recording quality even in 6 hour mode. The only neg is no tuner.
