Great product for those who like to record high quality TV.

 

I bought this for my wife for christmas and she only used it once, so I have become very proficient with this device. I am very technically inclined and this took some patience to master. Now, I have no issues you can even record live tv and movies...

Very high quality and recorded material is compatible with other dvd players and PC

Although it has great features it will be complicated at first to use you must practice

Stupid. Brand new Toshiba 30HF85 HD-TV bought at same time has remote that won't work DVD

 

Bad customer service on phone. I tried to input code from manual so TV remote would operate D-VR4XSU. No code in the book for Toshiba although there are codes for other DVD-VCR COMBO's. Toshiba's customer's service guy said, " "They" didn't design it...

Some channels have copyright signal and this DVD recorder will not record those channels.

Very simple to use and enough extras for a tech-junky. Works easy just like a VCR and has many of the same functions. Burned DVD off live TV. Havent tried VCR->DVD or DVD-VCR yet. Different modes to record off TV for DVD. XP mode for best quality or...
