This is not for anyone who need upconversion for any HDTV. But if you still have a big ol' CRT like me, this is a wonderful buy at the price. (Just don't throw away the S-Video cable from your old DVD player, if you have one).

Arrived in perfect condition. Plays wonderfully; in fact, it "rescued" several DVD;s which had stopped functioning on my previous DVD player. I really can't even tell that it's recertified at all.

No S-Video cable included. And the remote is too small for my hands to use it easily. It also takes AAA batteries, which I don't have lying around.

Worked well out of the box. Simple connections. Clean picture

Stopped reading discs after 3 months of usage. Wider case than average limiting available space for use

excellent buy

Would say to put this haus on a EATX in a full tower or open case, otherwise get ready for some shoe-horning to get it to fit. But once it does fit, it works like a charm.

great product easy to set up

Toshiba SD-4100 DVD Player

if you need a basic DVD player and tend to watch a whole disc in one sitting, this might be the right choice for you. if you like to watch a bit of a movie or show, and then come back later and pick up where you left off, this might not be the right...

it actually plays DVDs, and it was extremely inexpensive. it also lets you check to see how much time is left on what you are watching. you can quickly get through the introductory menus and "commercials" by using the "next" button on the remote, which...

despite the fact that the DVD player has a pause feature, this is only a temporary pause. if you want to turn off the player and come back later and pick up where you left off, you are out of luck; it will be as if you had just put the disc in the...

Nice DVD player, ridiculously wide

Works great, haven't tried other formats, but that's because I don't care

It's 17 inches wide. I look at the picture, I think, maybe twice bigger than my defunct Coby, but no. It's 17 inches wide. Since I have a penchant for smaller electronics, this doesn't fit into my tiny electronics hutch (which is 15 inches wide). A...

No Frills, but it works

It plays single layer media perfectly. While it's advertised to play DVD+R DL, it didn't seem to like my RiData discs. I'll have to try another brand to really confirm if this feature works or not. It's a no-frills unit, if you have an older set like...

It's thin, has an S-Video port and composite, plays burned media

No component video output. This isn't a problem for me yet, as I do not have a TV that uses component. Does not play dual-layer media ( at least my RiData 8.5GB discs would not read them, and I tried 3 different DVD burners )

DVD Player

Just a day of owning pretty good so far, if any problems occur i will repost

well pretty good so far, just got it today but i like the fact that it shows what chapter of the movie its on, easy installation, not much paper and cardboard with it. Its flat sleek looking, small remote control, 1080p... very well worth the money

was 29.99 when i ordered it and the day i get it, its gone up to 39.99

Slim Sleek, Lightweight. Good for a 2nd dvd player

I had purchased this dvd player as a 2nd one to have. Quality of pictures are not bad. I liked this one because of the different formats that it has. I have mp3 and there are fewer choices out there that have this format.

Easy to Use, Simple Setup, Compact

shiba SD 4100

Unfortunately, this product has flaws that can not be overlooked, and I returned the next day. 1. There is no position memory for DVD stopping, to return to your last spot of viewing, once the disc is removed. In fact, after 22 minutes in the stop...

so low price
