Toshiba SD-9200 Progressive-Scan DVD-Audio/Video Player

Right off the bat, the SD-9200 shows that it's in a different class. The striking but simple black front faceplate stands tall, with an extremely thin drawer that pops out quickly from the middle. This player just looks more elegant and feels...

Bought in 2001. Still going strong in 2006

Excellent video. Quality audio thru the 5.1 analog outs, which go my HarmanKardon 7300.

Refuses to die. I need some good reason to upgrade!!

The one to buy

Superior picture quality and Sound remains the single most important thing I look for. Toshiba's new players include Colorstream component video outputs. The Colorstream component video connection is the ideal interface between a digital video ...

Progressive Scan, Screen Saver, Zoom in and out.

awesome player for anything presenting progressive component inputs.

Toshiba's new top of the line should be out by now, and in the near future, consumers will likely incur a price break on this one. I can recommend you snatch one up if you are looking, but don't need all the enhancements on the newest model.

best picture around, screen saver for those with lcd projectors, DTS

cannot upgrade flash to support new formats, remote is very strange.

One of the best DVDP's out there

This is an awesome DVD player. It's built like a tank and it wouldn't look out of place in any serious audio / videophiles system. Asthetics aside, it produces an incredible picture with rich deep colors and fine attention to detail. Audio is superb,...

What a disappointment!

Well, when I bought a 3rd generation progressive scan player from Toshiba, who was the first to have such product on the consumer market, I expected a "top notch" product.

Supports DVD Audio, reasonably good progressive output

HAS THE RED CHROMA OVERSAMPLING BUG ; slow in loading disks
