And every Toshiba DVD player features DTS® (Digital Theater Systems) compatibility. A Toshiba DVD player can be connected to a DTS® compatible receiver/decoder via its digital audio outputs for playback of high-resolution multi-channel DTS® -encoded DVDs and CDs. Splits the video signal into three separate components, unlike composite video, which delivers red, green, blue, and black & white detail all as one signal. Separating the color and detail portions of the signal reduces the amount of signal processing performed by the television. Benefit: Offers a more than 200% improvement in color compared to an S-Video output jack. These outputs allow the highest quality video signal to be sent from the DVD player to a component video equipped TV. When this connection is utilized, typical NTSC artifacts.
